Spotty network coverage happens, especially in condensed urban areas and rural areas. The first thing to do is determine if other devices with the same wireless carrier are also experiencing the same issues. Simply turn off Wi-Fi on both devices and verify how many bars are displayed. If both devices have low signal strength within one bar of each other, please contact your wireless carrier to inquire about coverage expansion plans and short-term options such as signal boosters and Wi-Fi calling.
If other devices on the same network are not experiencing the same issues (and both devices are not connected to Wi-Fi), try the following:
- Reboot your device. If the problem persists, go to the next step.
- Remove and re-insert your SIM card. If the problem persists, go to the next step.
